: Vertically oriented first page : jellybean February 27, 2011, 09:14:24 PM Hows about a template with a front page with a vertical orientation for the main image(s)?
You could make it nice 1/3 image 2/3 data or graphic do-dads. For people with customers, who after a solid year of explanation, STILL cannot update their images with horizontal orientation. Ever. Not once. No matter what. It might be a nice change too. : Re: Vertically oriented first page : jonahh February 28, 2011, 12:08:25 PM Sounds like a good idea, a layout we haven't done, do you have any site examples you could post too?
: Re: Vertically oriented first page : jellybean March 02, 2011, 01:01:22 PM I don't have anything I've seen, what I had in mind was dividing the "above the fold" area into a golden mean. (see how the image is a perfect little monitor?)
1/3 for the pic on on side - then divide up again (like the old nautilus example) I don't have photoshop on my new computer yet, I had in mind to flip what I'm attaching, but on the otherhand.... be nice sites who do not want a cluttered look. Lots of white space! |
