Title: Sea of Glass Editing Post by: sovaka on September 19, 2008, 05:14:34 AM Hey
Just signed up for a couple of the templates. Love it! Very snazzy looking and functional. I'm very new to Joomla so please forgive me if this has been covered, but I am an advanced user of regular HTML so I can find my way around a lot of the issues... Though I do know when I am over my head I know when to ask for help :) A couple questions; Q1 I nice easy PSD file that you can just overwrite would be awesome... At least for this Template, there is... File 's5_seg_logo.png' in the templates 'images' directory. The reason I didn't see it, was because it was white text on a transparent background, so in windows explorer, looks like nothing. Q2 How would I go about making the content in the slideshow dynamic? Seems rather pointless of a CMS system like Joomla to have to go in everytime to change it. If I can make it dynamic, where are the settings for it? Q3 There seems to be scatterings of tutorials around, it would be good to have a section on your site that holds ALL the tutorials available. From installation to editing of the layout and design. I understand it could be difficult to generalize the tutorials for all the different templates, but carrying some set of base rules for each template would be good. Outside of that, I love the product and I hope I can get what I want out of it :) Keep up the good work! ~Sov Title: Re: Sea of Glass Editing Post by: jonahh on September 19, 2008, 12:12:27 PM Hello Sov,
My response to your questions: Q2 = The slideshow is not dynamic in the sense it pulls from a news section or anything. I'm not really sure how it could be dynamic since it doesn't really relate to anything in the Joomla CMS with the additional images and such there isn't really a way to tie it into the CMS other than having a separate admin area in the module as there currently is. Q3 = We currently do not have one area where all the tutorials are centralized, but do hope to get this out in the future. Right now each template has its own set of tutorials (some are very similar, if not exactly the same across the board in each template). Regards,
