Title: Doctype problem on all sites after updating to Joomla 2.5.3 Post by: freakalala on March 30, 2012, 03:28:24 PM After updating any of my sites using Shape5 templates to Joomla 2.5.3, when you go to the site first you see DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">, then the page loads but message remains in background.
I checked the template index.php files and the doctype begins with <! yet obviously this is not being recognized? Not sure. Please advise as I can't have this happening to every site. Please post your question in the forum board pertaining to the template that you are using so we can address a specific template. Title: Re: Doctype problem on all sites after updating to Joomla 2.5.3 Post by: freakalala on March 30, 2012, 05:47:39 PM I just said all templates which means I am using multiple. This is the Joomla section right? I do not want to go through all my sites and then post in each and every template. Is this also a siteshaper issue? Two of the sites used siteshapers (obviously different ones).

To anyone else having this problem after updating, it most likely is not caused by the template or Joomla. I just happen to use a lot of Shape5 templates because I like them.
Check your plugins. If you are using Bye Bye Generator and upgrade to Joomla 2.5.3, uninstall this plugin and install the latest update.
