Title: Basic Joomla Questions Post by: martha66204 on November 24, 2007, 10:34:59 AM Hi. Joomla is neat. I like it. I am having some issues with it though.
I am trying to figure out some basic features to install. I need a place where there can be a blog on my site that is in discussion form. Perhaps its wordpress, I don't know. I am not finding how to do it. I know this isn't a Shape 5 specific question but I need some help here. Also, is there a way for my users to upload a file and have a directory of files in Joomla? Or, would I do that function outside of the Joomla structure? I appreciate any encouragement in this Joomla discovery process. Thanks, Martha Title: Re: Basic Joomla Questions Post by: thesr on November 24, 2007, 10:44:31 AM hi try this :

you can use remository to upload files and let your user do the same, more informations on the link below. http://www.remository.com/rem/view/ReMOSitory/ReMOSitory-basics/What-is-ReMOSitory/ I'm not sure i get it, about the discussion form. Do you mean people can comment your news/articles ? if this is the case you can add a comment system for all your news. Many comments components exist, have a look here => http://extensions.joomla.org/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=listcats&cat_id=1764&Itemid=35 Some are commercials and others free.
