This was posted in February but I read it for the first time and think it is right on !

Now when you develop with Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 it now has the features to work with Joomla and it allows you to design for Mobile, IPAD and wide screen devices. It seems that more Internet sites are being developed more devices than a PC screen and I think all developers should consider what lies ahead. I recently bought a Sony Internet TV with Google TV to get a closer look at this development and how I could experiment with my web sites to make they`re content fit the wide screen without having to scroll down.

Here is the February post that I thought was super:

I wast just reading a Wall Street Journal article on news media moving to the web and the painful vertical orientation of their web pages.

Given that you almost cannot buy a 4:3 monitor anymore, and that almost everything on the shelf today is 16:9 or HD capable, it seems we should be exploring templates that maximize the use of screen real estate.

Not just a wide-screen version of existing templates - we don't need wider columns for the most part. We really need to think through how best to display information to take advantage of the huge width available, and reveal all that info that has been historically hidden below the bottom of the page.

In fact, it might make sense to structure templates such that each one includes templates for 16:9, whatever the standard is for mobile devices, and 4:3 for tablets like the iPad.

Just some thoughts, looking forward to others chiming in with new ideas.
