I have three sites to build for one client

1 - brochure
1 - catalogue
1 - full e-commerce

I am interested in using the e-commerce template, the look and feel would suit the project perfectly.  My question is can it be used as a catalogue without the shopping cart?  I do know VM, but not very well, is it possible to use this in a catalogue mode?  If so I can then go on to build the shop site using the same template to get a uniform look.

Sorry forgot to ask - is it possible (for me) to upload your dummy content onto the site, so I can get a replica of the demo?

Yes with VM you can set products to not show an add to cart, to call for pricing or not for sale.
