I suppose the same goes for Shape 5, as for any other affiliate or even Google ads:

"Refrain from clicking on your own site links"

...but should I / Can I test the link functionality?  Or should I just be satisified that the image shows up (in banners)?

Hi, there's not really a way to test them. As long as your banner ad is showing the links will work. We have several affiliate sales that come through every day.
