I have developed the website www.AutismMAPS.com in Joomla 1.0 with a Shape5 template (Bliss). I am self-taught and I?m sure that it is not perfect. I am at a point where I need some help. These are my areas of concern:

1)   I want to be able to be able to create articles with custom fields.
2)   I want to be able to list the articles by section/categories on the same page.
3)   I wonder if I should upgrade to 1.5 but am nervous to do it on my own.

How do I go about finding a Joomla developer to help me with this. Do Shape5 developers provide these sorts of customizations?

Hi,

Articles are simply content so you can put whatever content you wish in them, I am not sure what you mean by custom fields. You can use the newsflash module to select certain sections and categories to show articles in a list.

If there are components you want to use that have not been converted over to 1.5 native yet then no don't upgrade just yet. But if every component you need it already available in 1.5 I would suggest converting.
