I am having an issue with a re-install.

I first ran the site shaper install from a sub-directory within my Joomla site. When I realized that my site was not going to run from my websites root, I then uploaded the site shaper to my root and tried to install there. When I would go to the index.php in the root, to run the site install, I would get redirected to the install directory and the install page shows the last step of the install with the message that I would have to remove the install directory for the site to work correctly. So trying to trouble shoot, I did. When I did delete the installation directory, the original default install of Joomla showed.

So I figured I would try a fresh install. I uninstalled Joomla from my GoDaddy console and deleted ALL directories that was listed in my site shaper directory, including the first install that was not in my root. Then I made sure that I deleted all of the MySQL dB?s. After the deletion, I re-installed Joomla from my Godaddy console and re-uploaded site shaper to my root. When I would go to the index.php, the install would be on the last step again and I would get the same message about removing the installation directory.

What am I not doing or what am I doing wrong? I need help!

Hello,

That message usually shows when the configuration.php file is present in the site's root folder. Configuration.php is created at the end of the installation, so if it's present it thinks you've already gone through the other steps.
