Knowledge weighs nothing!

WWW

Hi,

InfoClip is a Swedish site for practical knowledge and references to such. We present this through a couple of different methods.

1. Article system based on Mosets Tree - Adopted for writers and totally remade the presentation of lists and
listdetails, the same way Joomla! Extension has. I can control all pieces and present new fields were ever I want!  Wink

2. A book shop
based on VM - Had to write a couple of changes to VM in order to style the product listings and
flypages. (No more sorting if only one article. No more pagination if less than 5 articles. Prod picture presented
    horizontally.   ... and so on.)

3. Joomla! Article system edited and adopted - I really couldn't stand the way Joomla! presents articles!
It's like a programmer (or several) decided to make a newspaper layout, without even glancing on the real-world
newspapers. So I moved the 'last edited' field and inserted a new look with separators and date appearances.
And wrote some nifty CSS in order to get REAL two column and three column layouts! I can now make real-world
newspaper layout with all the trimmings.

4. Template? Well eTensity - of course! Actually three of them: eTensity, eTensity_inner and eTensity_black.
Why? Because I like the 'intro page' style that gives the visitor a cool and calm start of the stay. The 'inner' for normal
contents and then the black for the forum as well as for the photoslide shows created with Adobe Lightroom  Wink (Still
    under development.

     - eTensity - utilize the Gavick modules for the slideshow (I'm sorry Mike & Jonah, but they are...hrmm... better... Wink)
     - eTensity_inner - received a shaded background, a new divider between left column and content, and some modified
       module styles from 'eMerchantilsm'.
     - eTensity_black is 'inner' with the black background.

- New positions was also created for 'Todays date' and the Joom!Fish language switcher module, in all three.
- New image position under the menu in 'inner' as well as in 'eTensity'. In order to have a colour balance and a
'trace' that follows the visitor. (Black and white templates can tend to become a bit 'cold' and the image helps me to
introduce warm colours and 'connect' the pages.)
- New position under the eTensity frontpage slideshow for the Photo Copyright field.

And a bunch of other stuff...  Cheesy

Translation into English is a work in progress and the loading time is to blame on one Internet router that adds 400-600ms to the packages. (I've tried to get them to correct that, but their obviously 'incommunicado').

Cheers

Thanx!

I'm working on the translation into English, so hopefully somewhere before Christmas you'll be able to click the Joom!Fish language flags in order to read it in English as well as Swedish.

Actually it's right now the only production site in the world that runs Joom!Fish 2.0 RC2 with the new 'cache into database' experimental add-on. A little co-op with Mr. Geraint at Joom!Fish.

Working on some more heavy VM changes in order to allow REAL Cash-On-Delivery functionality.
(In short; when you as a customer select a certain Shipping Method that includes a predestine way of payment, you are directly transferred to Checkout to confirm the purchase.

Also trying to achieve invoice printing by customer from the order page and receipt printing via PDF function...this way the customer can print the invoice, pay it and then print receipt by himself/herself. The additional cost for invoice vanish and I don't have to engage in the invoice process at all!  Wink
