Would be nice to see some developments in this area.
As main sections/categories for such site could be:
  • Categories of different objecst (bed, breakfest, leisure, ...)/li]
    • Traveller stories
    • History about ...
    • Maps
    • Some reservations for resources

    Etc.

    If somebody is interested to investigate time in development of such template, I would be ready to share experience from industry field to be sure - design of elements suits best.

I could not agree more... I am also using shape 5 templates for a travel site, and would love to see a template dedicated to travel, and including some cool extensions like the ones you mention.

Shape 5, please do something about it!

I also will volunteer to support this development, if you wish to have my inputs...

hey; don't mind advise me on:
need to activate Google map 3d functionality in site.. i am talking about realistic 3d view
although it will be travel site but i want to memorize and call all the top tourism attraction across UK..
possibility???  Huh Huh
I want my site to be treated as a guide map dropping inspiration every time  Wink
