Hi. Joomla is neat. I like it. I am having some issues with it though.
I am trying to figure out some basic features to install. I need a place where there can be a blog on my site that is in discussion form. Perhaps its wordpress, I don't know. I am not finding how to do it. I know this isn't a Shape 5 specific question but I need some help here.
Also, is there a way for my users to upload a file and have a directory of files in Joomla? Or, would I do that function outside of the Joomla structure?
I appreciate any encouragement in this Joomla discovery process.
Thanks,
Martha

Hi martha66204,

you can use remository to upload files and let your user do the same, more informations on the link below.

I'm not sure i get it, about the discussion form. Do you mean people can comment your news/articles ?
if this is the case you can add a comment system for all your news. Many comments components exist, have a look here => http://extensions.joomla.org/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=listcats&cat_id=1764&Itemid=35
Some are commercials and others free.
