Hi!

I am almost ready to sign up and purchase a membership.  I really like the templates that your company has available.  Unfortunately, there is one major roadblock that is keeping me on the fence with this purchase.

What I need is a forum, preferably SMF but I am open to other suggestions except for PHPBB2, there are too many security issues and PHPBB3 is not finalized yet.

The problem is this:  I am new to Joomla, I do have it installed though and I can install any forum without an issue.  What I can't figure out is how to add a forum to Joomla.  I researched bridging options, most folks seem to be using SMF with the JoomlaHacks Bridge but that bridge is no longer supported and I can't download the bridge from their site even after registered with them.  Apparently there is something wrong with the JoomlaHacks site.  Even if I were to obtain the bridge, I would need step-by-step instructions that a layman can understand.

So here is my proposal.  If you can assist me with the process of setting up a forum with Joomla then you will have my business.  What I will need help with is setting up a link to the forum on the Joomla template, setting up a bridge, and help with getting my forum to match the Joomla template as close as possible.  I don’t expect this sort of help without first making a purchase however, if you can assure me that you can help with this project then we have a deal.  Even if this will cost an additional fee I am willing to pay for it.

Either way, please let me know, I am anxious to sign up and work on my new site right away!

Have you looked into Fire Board?  It is the only forum that directly integrates into Joomla, its a component so no complicated bridging is required.
