I have a Paradigm Shift template, running on a Joomla 2.5x site and I know this particular template supports Google Fonts (great). However I also have a paid subscription with Adobe Typekit through my Adobe Cloud subscription and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to on a global template wide setting specify a Abode Typekit font I want to use instead.

I was hoping for some help. This is what I know:

My Typekit Kit ID: idj7ejk
Font I am trying to implement is: "source-sans-pro"
   I've tried editing the Paradigm Shift>template.css directly by replacing the default font-family in the body section with: font-family: "source-sans-pro",sans-serif;

It still seems that the overall font is controlled by the template settings under Templater Manager > Styles > paradigm_shift > Layout

I've read Adobe's site, I've read your FAQ and I am still at a loss. Please help. Thanks.

*Update*

Ok one thing I hadn't considered was whether or not Google Fonts had my font... turns out they did. I was able to add it to the template list by adding
"$googleFonts['Source Sans Pro'] = 'Source Sans Pro';" to the list found in /templates/paradigm_shift/vertex/admin/googleFonts.php

This solve my gobal setting issue. I'd like to still know if integration with Adobe Typekit can still be done or is there plans in future builds.

Thanks.

Oh ok great, we haven't considered Adobe Typekit fonts.  This is actually first time anyone has asked us regarding them but perhaps we will if more people ask for them.  Right now we just plan to use Google fonts though as it has quite a large selection in itself.

Even if you could somehow implement the Typekit ID into the Template > Layout section for future templates,as like a secondary typography feature, I think that would be fantastic.

I also think you'll see more of Adobe Typekit simply for the fact that Google fonts although awesome for web design, does nothing for me in regards to printed materials. As branding is such a large component of our organization we needed access to a font that essentially would work well for both web and print applications. Typekit provided that.

Hello,

Thanks again for your suggestion. If we get enough interest for something like this we will consider implementing it into the Framework in the future.

+1 from me too for Typekit. I also have a CC sub and have just started using Dreamweaver again for prototyping content prior to adding to Joomla.

+1 from me too. Is there anywhere else I should vote for this?

Hello,

This is the correct place for suggestions. We will consider this for future revisions to Vertex 4.0
