Hi, how you guys feel about a portfolio extension ?

I know something like that can be done with some coding, but wouldn't it be great in a extension?

I mean something like this : http://extensions.bowthemes.com/bt-folio/grid-list.html,  just an random example.

Kind regards,

Hello,

I think we have looked into this one before but there are so many types of portfolio extensions already on the market that have years of testing and multiple features. If we get enough requests we can consider something like this but the amount of work to code an extension that would outperform the competition would be very timely. A lot of our coding efforts right now are in Vertex 4.0 among other things.

Well, actually I like to hear a suggestion from another, they asked me a few weeks ago to do a site of a irish pub.
Looking for over 2 weeks but can't pick one, tried the restaurant but to much to the food. Need to transform one that visitors at first look can see it is about, drinking beer & live music. And ofcourse that people having a good time.

Hello,

It's a tough decision definitely since there are so many options. There are a few you can look at here:

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/directory-a-documentation/portfolio

Perhaps read some of the comments from other users and how it worked on their site. If they are non - commercial you can also try them out on a local environment to see what works for you.

Hi,

Seen them, purchased 2 extensions a few months ago. With both there where issues with the floating menu or logo.

Wpfolio & unite revolutionary slider.

With the slider the logo went behind the slider, with Wpfolio the floating header was gone and the extension went through the navigationbar (menu) while scrolling down.

Hey,

I can probably give you some tips for stopping the logo from going behind the slider if you like but I would have to see it live. The 2nd extension is most likely a scripting issues causing conflicts on the site.

With floating header set to off it will do fine now, the logo I come back once it is online.
I never build online, it goes online when the site is done and only the last few things I test online before it goes public Smiley
