Is it possible to assign a size to the images in the background section of templates?
Which is the format in Vertex --> "Custom Background Image Size" ?

Thanks.

Hello,

The background-size function that you mentioned above will do this. Or you can add it directly to custom.css.

Hi, Mikek.
To speed up the page load I would like to specify the size of the images.
What is the format?
For example, with=1200px ... or 1200px or again, 1200 ...?

Hello,

You can enter a custom size to whatever you would want, however using px dimensions is almost unheard of for background sizes. Typically you would use percentages, which you can already select from in the drop downs. Or use "cover" to automatically fill all the available space.

My idea is to force / constrain the image dimensions by WIDTH and HEIGHT attribute specifications, allowing the page to be loaded before images.
With CSS styles this way doesn't work, and all sites are suffering from this problem.

To give an example, by specifying images within IMAGE FADER module, and forcing values in the PHP code, results are lighting fast and loading is pretty much instantaneous.
I would like to do the same in the Vertex- Background section.

Could you help me?
You can control by yourself all loading times on assistenzadivorzio.it or laghettobalneabile.eu

Thanks!

Hello,

Changing the background size call is never going to change the load speed of your site. It's the same of the actual image itself that can change the load speed. I'm not sure what direction you are looking for in regards to the background-size call. As I stated above there is already a drop down in the vertex admin to do this called "Background Image Size Option", that drop down presents you with all the options available. If you're looking for some custom size to use you would need to enter that in the field below that, we don't provide services for setting up custom sizes for you though.
