I wish to express how much I have enjoyed using Shape5 over the past 4 years. After many other popular joomla clubs I recognize why I keep renewing my membership with Shape5 and why I decided to not use another template club anymore. For one thing Shape5 has not changed their designs to the "plain or overkill" extremes like other clubs.

So many other clubs have just decided to all use a "cookie cutter layout" and or an all flat with no feeling or warmth in their designs. Most clubs don't even offer "dark styled themes" anymore and Shape5 has continued to stay within what we like. As long as Shape5 continues to provide themes that have warmth & design I will remain. Some of the other great aspects to Shape5 is they do NOT use K2 on every single design. As a coder and developer I want a straight forward approach where I do not have to uninstall K2 or other components that just take up memory or make it harder to build on.

One of the biggest reasons I have left other "popular" clubs is they all seem to now integrate K2 and if you uninstall the files of K2 it renders "some" features or even the template useless. Shape5 has never disappointed me in this area and they have a good team and strong following.

I am also an author on Themeforest, I read what clients are looking for and how they all complain about templates and certain clubs. As a coder & designer I want to provide what a client needs and Shape5 makes my work and life much easier. Thank you again for a wonderful club.

"If it works, leave it alone" You have a good thing going!

Hey Pandora Black,

Wow awesome, glad to hear our products are working for you!  Thanks so much for the feedback.  We don't ever want to go in a direction that our members don't like and hearing this is encouraging.  We created a template survey here http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,37119.0/  for the main purpose of getting feedback.  So if you ever have any suggestions/feedback please let us know.  Without members like you we couldn't do what we love to do.

It's interesting you bring up K2.  I personally was worried since we don't demo it and do a lot of K2 overrides and styling that people would or were going elsewhere to clubs that do provide this.  Zoka was actually a template to demonstrate K2 works fine with our products.  Its funny though we had another members saying why use K2 since Joomla can now basically almost do all that K2 can do.  So looks like its not that big of a deal for us.

In regards to the dark themes, that's been more of a recent addition too because of suggestions from some folks.  So suggest away Smiley

Thanks,

With Joomla 3 there really is no need to use K2 and now that there are tons of add ons that are just as good as K2 but bypass the styling. One of my "author friends" on Themeforest decided to make the same template with and without K2 and this way his customers had the best of both worlds. When you go to download his themes he would have a comment to let him know if you needed the K2 version.

On my part I have many, many clients and I had noticed that they did NOT LIKE or WANT K2.  So on my end, thank you for not using K2 on all your themes. There are "very popular joomla clubs" who now incorporate K2 in almost 95% of their themes and their membership has not been the same ever since.

I went from 8 clubs per year to just one and that is Shape5.  Why... no K2, Light and dark styled themes, Warmth & ease of use. I am happy Smiley
