I write my URL into the Template Configuration but always when I press the save button it disappers and the gap is empty again. The Link is absolutely correct - what is wrong? The file has excatly 720p and is in mp4 format...

Hello,

Make sure your vertex.json file on the server has writable CHMOD settings. Also try a different browser to see if your added URL will stick.

Thanks for your answer.

I tried CHMOD even on 777 but it did not help.
I tried the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Chrome - but no one keeps the Video.

Do you have any further ideas?

EDIT: I write it manually into the vertex.json and everything is allright, the video is correctly in the background. But as soon as I open the template configuration in Joomla again, it removes the video again...

Hello,

That means there is some sort of permissions issue on the server preventing the back end functions from being written. You can try completely removing the vertex.json file and then saving the settings in the back end to generate a new one. I just tested this locally and was able to change multiple items in the back end without any issues.

Hello,

The video must be in .mp4 format to function properly. If your changes aren't sticking in the Template Manager the only thing that would cause that would be a permissions issue on the server where its not accepting write values from Joomla. This would be something you would need to contact your web host about. I tested my copy and we have no other reports of changes not being saved in the back end.

Okay, now I have no problems with the video anymore as long as I do all the changes directly an manually to the vertex.json. But I think the whole template options in joomla are not working... I cant find the area where I can change the paths of my social icons. I also did not find the "javascript" text in the vertex.json. Can someone tell me where I can find the social icons paths to change them manually, too?

Hello,

In this Template the social icons were integrated via a module in the custom_6 position not via the Template Manager.

Hm yeapp I have seen the module but there is no content inside. Not at least one html tag in the source code - it is completely empty. But I can see the social icons on the website  Huh

Hello,

Try changing your default editor to JCE or Editor-None.

Code:
<a href="" class="social_icon ion-social-facebook"></a>
<a href="" class="social_icon ion-social-twitter"></a>
<a href="" class="social_icon ion-social-googleplus"></a>
<a href="" class="social_icon ion-social-rss"></a>
<a href="" class="social_icon ion-social-pinterest"></a>
