Hello,

If they are placed in club product board then unfortunately no you would not be able to access them.  You would only have access to the free sections of the site once your membership expires.  Free downloads and free product support boards.

well that kinda sucks or rather its not "kinda" but definatly it sucks.
Honestly i dont think in a permissions setting thats fair at all.
The help was paid for so why should it expire as visable text from the user.

I can understand if permissions settings would not allow the user to see OTHER posts and would allow us to see just our own.

So, what can i do now?
Again.....this is yet the same reason i stated that the 30 day subscription should be a "during business days" subscription

Hello,

"The help was paid for so why should it expire as visable text from the user."

You are purchasing a membership, and with that membership you receive support access for a set amount of days, so the amount of support access you purchased has been provided. We cannot provide life long support on products or access to support, or the prices of our memberships would need to be much higher. You are purchasing the right to see and interact with all support with a membership, when a membership expires both of those go away as the membership itself has expired.

If you need to continue access to support beyond what you purchased you will need to renew your membership when the time comes to continue receiving support.

It is stated in our terms of agreement what will happen when the membership expires:

"Note: Memberships consist of both product downloads and forum access as a benefit for active members. Access to paid support forum board areas and paid product download areas, associated to the particular membership purchased, will discontinue when a membership expires, as they are part of the membership sold; this includes any posts made by the member in paid forum areas. All content on shape5.com is owned by Shape5 LLC, including all member submitted forum posts, which are willfully submitted by the member by agreeance of these terms. "

This is exactly the problem i keep talking about
We ask a question and it doesnt get answered so we lose days in our memberships because we have to wait til hte office is open for the asnwer to that question.
I asked a question in my comment above and theres no answer to it....not even a suggestion.
Can you please answer the question for me? And hopefully BEFORE i have to wait until Monday which by the way would be where my membership ENDS?

Hello,

I don't see how we have not answered your question, it has been answered very thoroughly. If you're referring to this comment:

"The help was paid for so why should it expire as visable text from the user."

First, that seems more like a suggestion than an actual question looking for a response.

Second, keeping a record of any historical information that you had previous access to in the paid support areas to is entirely up to you; you can take screen shots, print the pages to pdf, print them to paper, copy the text, etc. Our responsibilities at Shape5, which are binding by our terms of agreement, are that we provide you access to paid portions of the support area during the time of your membership, and that we provide support to active, paid members. All of that takes place during the time of your membership only, and the duration to these items is selected by you the user during signup. All of those items we have provided to you. Our job is NOT to provide another means for members to access support areas at the time of which they are no longer paying for support or access to support areas, which is what you are requesting when your membership expires. In other words you are paying for ACCESS to support areas, and it is not our responsibility to provide that access, or any of the content of those areas, after your membership expires.

"We ask a question and it doesnt get answered so we lose days in our memberships because we have to wait til hte office is open for the asnwer to that question."

You have said this multiple times to us in various posts, but yet as I look through your last posts:

http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/action,profile/u,412754/sa,showPosts/

I do not see anywhere that it has taken multiple days to get a response from us, and many posts were done outside of business hours. The post above was done outside of business hours, the post I am writing right now is outside of business hours, many of the support posts were done outside of business hours in a timely manner. Several of the posts we were waiting on your response and never got, and a few posts we had to debug for you which takes time.

I'm sorry if you don't like our policies or how our memberships are structured, but we feel they are very fair for the price we are offering. Our policies on support will not be changing.

Hello,

There is nothing built directly into the forum for this, but you can use the Print Topic button on each thread and print it to something like Cute PDF, which "prints" the page directly to a PDF. You can also save the page as an HTML export from the browser itself.
