Hello

I am new to both WP and the Vertex template so please bear with me if I have missed something obvious.
I am using the NewVision theme. I have been able to add widgets either to the frontpage or 'all pages' but I cannot find a way to post one on a single page.
I have tried following the suggestions posted on this link: http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,22059.0/
However, they have not worked. I put the slug in but it continues to appear on all pages. Should I be ticking a particular box in the widget context area?

Thanks and regards

You'll need to change the dropdown in the Widget Context settings from "Show widget everywhere" to "Show widget on selected".

Hi Tristan

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I have tried this and still no joy Undecided

I have ticked 'show widget on selected'

I then tick no box in the global section but enter the page slug */the-langley-catheter in the 'target by URL' section

Is this correct?

Try removing the leading slash before the page slug.  The way I have it targeted on the demo sites is:
*page-slug*

Sorry to bother you again!
I have just tried it *the-langley-catheter* but the result is the same.
All the boxes are ticked in the Widget Context Settings
Custom Post Types and Taxonomies has a default of none. in the box.
The style is default.

Thanks in advance...

At this point, my only guess would be that maybe the target URL isn't matching the page permalink for whatever reason.  Maybe you need to double-check your permalinks settings and make sure they're saved correctly.

Also, are you sure you're putting the filter in the "Target by URL" box, and not the "Notes" box?  If it's not in the correct place, it won't work.

If you continue having problems, you may want to try asking for support on the Widget Context wordpress.org page.  While it is my preferred method for making the demo content able to be page-specific (and I try to help with it as much as I can), it is still a third-party plugin, and is not technically covered by Shape 5 support.
