Hi,
I recently upgraded my Vertex Framework to version 4 and have noticed that the Joomla back end menus are now only partially functional when accessed using an Android device. The device I am using is a Samsung Galaxy S5 using stock Android 6.01 and Chrome browser. I also tried using the stock Android browser and the functionality issues were the same. To put it simply, in the Joomla backend, when I tap the menu icon at the top right of the screen the drop down containing System, Users, Menus, Content, Components, Extensions, Help appears. From this I can successufully select any of these first level options to display the second level choices. However, I am unable to select any of the second level choices that are listed under Components or Help. All other second level menu choices appear to function correctly. I have seen this problem before and I cannot remember whether it was a Vertex Framework Issue or a Joomla issue. Can anyone shed any light on what the cause might be or more importantly, how I can fix it?

Hello,

The template and the framework have no way to effect the backend menu system, those files are not loaded in the backend. Vertex files are only frontend files.

Have you patched Joomla to make sure you are on the latest version of Joomla?
