Not sure what is going on...

Is this from an update?

http://www.betterbeings.net/

Tons of weird code all over the top of the pages. I don't know what to do besides rebuild this site. I think its an old version of joomla. I prob messed up on the updates.

Hello,

Make sure your Joomla version is updated to the latest version, and also what version of php version are you running? Deprecated functions often mean that you are running a newer version of php, you can try downgrading it. The errors are directly related to Joomla though.

This site is stuck in Joomla! 2.5.16. I do not know how to further update it. Usually its pretty easy to update the joomla, but I don't know how to update this site.

When I go to update Joomla it says: No updates available

You already have the latest Joomla! version, 2.5.16.

Please advise. Thank you in advance.

Did you try clicking the "clear cache" button in the Joomla update component area?

I can't seem to clear the cache or update Joomla.

Do you think one of you could hop in the administrator and check out what is going on?

Try one more thing. Under the "options" button I think there is something there that you can swap to long term or short term. Just try swapping and see if it shows then.

Sorry. I'm not seeing this under options on the Maintenance: Purge Expired Cache page or the Clear Cache page.

Hello,

Deprecation errors are pointing to problems with your php version, and probably preventing parts of the backend to work. Check with your host to see what version of php your server is running.

I called Host Gator and they made some changes to the htaccess file.

The site still says You already have the latest Joomla! version, 2.5.16.

This is a really old site that I kind of let fall behind. Is it possible to update the Joomla? Or should I just re-build the site? I don't like how it looks anyways.

Hello,

You have not answered my question, you need to check your php version, not your Joomla version.

2.5.16 is old, and I would recommend updating to 3.X. Keep in mind that no 2.5 products work in 3.X though, you'll need to reinstall the template and any extensions after updating.
