I have some problems with the newsticker.
First, a couple of bugs:
  • Using Mootools, all the lines are displayed simultaneously on first showing and looks a mess. Switching to S5 Effects solves this but S5 Effects seems to have a big hit on other transitions on the same page so I'd rather stick with Mootools.
  • If I try to leave line 2 blank, the default (as supplied) text keeps reappearing no matter what I do
And a couple of suggestions:
  • It would be good to have a Post-Text as well as a Pre-Text then we could style the text with open/close div and font tags etc.
  • Whilst appreciating that this is meant to be a single line, it would be nice to have a word-wrap option so that it could use as many lines as the Height parameter would permit
Otherwise, it's another great freebie from Shape5. I do like the idea of the text being configured via the module rather than being driven from a category - the use I have for it fits this approach well but others might see different depending on their requirements. Perhaps a further extension could be to choose an article category or pre-defined text and cover both options.
Thanks David

One other thing I have just noticed - the Choose to Hide/Show Arrows doesn't seem to do anything.

uhm,, if this is the case, what should we do to stop this kind of problem?

Do as I have just done. Post the problem here so that the authors can determine whether it's an implementation issue or a genuine bug (or bugs) they need to address.

For mootools all showing the lines at once do you have the mootools upgrade plugin enabled on your site?  Also could you post a URL of all this so I can take a look?
