I'm restyling my site using Joomla - VM - Joomfish - sh404sef - and eMercantilism.

Still under development but you may get the idea here: www.scubamarket.com/index.php

Feedbacks welcome!

Many thanks for the information.

On my IE7 works fine.
Would it be possible for you to attach a screenshot and info about the IE7 version you are using?

Thanks a lot,
Bruno

Screenshot attached.

You can see the MENU NAMES dissapear into the WHITE and towards the right I held the cursor over FEATURED PRODUCTS. You can see where it overlaps.

IE7 version 7.0.6000.16643

Let me know if you able to find the fix, I also want to use the template but on two of my machines I have the same problem.

Cheers

Hi Bruno,

Your site is looking very good.
sh404sef is not installed yet, I presume?

The only thing I can see concerning your menu names, is that they stand very low to the baseline.
Compare yours with the demo and you'll see what I mean.

The only thing I like less are your gradient red module titles.
With your sites colorsceme I would expect black or blue.

Keep up the good work.

Best regards from Holland.

I'm not showing any problems in IE7 as well. Out of curiosity what is your text-size set to? Medium or something larger?

Hello Sapromo,

Unfortunately since our versions of IE7 do not show this problem we are unable to debug it.  What we can do is setup a skype session and I could FTP into your site editing the CSS and then you could report back letting me know if the changes fix anything.

PM me if you are interested.

Regards,

LOL, it's not my website. I browsed the demo as I want to purchase it for a future site and just cannot get it to display correctly. Think the problem must be my PC ... IE6 is fine, IE7 not fine... urrrrr... Just had two other people test it... aaaaahhh what to do!

Oh ok, haha.  Yeah I think there is some odd ball version of IE7 because we had I believe 2 other people state they had the same problem with their version of IE7.

Well if you or anyone else is using this template in the future and has the same problem, let me know and we'll work together to resolve it.

Hi all and thanks for your posts.

I wasn't able to reproduce the IE7 error but i moved up the menu a little bit to improve it.

In fact getting the right position of the top area requires a lot of trial and error, even when using FF with FireBug (indispensable!).

I suggest Shape5 to provide a more 'modular' way to change the logo and background images positions in future templates, or, at least, more intructions on how to do it.

Gigabyte: you're right, still waiting to switch on the sh404sef module as the old site is still running and that would confuse the SEF module A LOT!
I've been testing it and it has a few problems when working with 2 languages, we'll see...

In the meantime I hade to modify quite a few modules in VM to get exactly what I wanted, like for example to simplify the check-out process, or removing unnecessary tax calculations.

However if you know a little of PHP I think that Joomla-VM-eMercatilism are a very good base for developing a custo e-commerce solution.

Thanks all,
Bruno

I have also sh404sef and Joomfish on my website, together with J1.0.15 and VM1.0.15
So far I have no big problems with these components.
The template is offcourse the same as yours and the main reason that I became member of shape5.

Most of the work goes in adapting and customizing VM.

How did you get the categories and pictures to display like that on the home page?
(Note: I don't have the template but what you've done with it looks great)
