I'm building a new site with the Emma Smooth template. As usual, I'm using Firefox.
When I checked the site using IE8, I got rather disapointed! Modules missing, loading slow and no content.

What could be wrong - except IE8?

Is this the only solution: http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,7425.0/

Site is at maintenance mode, this case was fixed by Mike i the Shape 5 team:

Hi, it should be working now. The text menu javascript was throwing an error, and I think it's because of the special characters in the sub text for your language. Anyway, I moved it to the bottom of the index.php file and it loaded fine.

Still, after this, I'm having problems with Tab Show and Image News modules in this template. Tab Show is not working with the slide effect, and the Image News module is working very slow. I see the same in the Emma Smooth demo when wieved in IE8. It's important to have this issues repaired - about 35 % of the guests are using IE8.

Really hope you guys in the Shape5-team are doing something about this.

If this is impossible - do you think the module Pro Super Slider from ProJoom will work in the top_1 position of the template? http://www.projoom.com/extensions/pro-super-slider.html - or maybe other modules?

Hello, if you are having issues with those modules please post new topics in the forum boards for those modules.

Errors like these are almost always caused by latency issues on servers. I've had several members with similar errors swap to a different hosting company with the same files and database and the errors were immediately resolved.
