I'm redoing my website with some of the AWESOME S5 templates/modules. I was doing some testing and noticed that the results of the comaxium search field module DONT include contextual links in a custom HTML module that I have published to the LEFT position.

As we're obviously all concerned re: SEO, i was wondering as well whether google will see the content that the comaxium search does not. When I view the source code, the module text is there, but I'm stil concerned.

I can understand if text inside the S5 box modules is not seen by google - but what of the accordion horizontal slider?

Its great to lay out text in nice ways that are pleasing to the human eye - but it does make me pause if I knew that google wont index the information and it will ultimately hurt my pagerank.

Looking for a clear answer on this one.

Thanks!

Hello,

If you are referring to the live search module, that would not be called by SEF because the content is pulled dynamically and not on page load. It will still index the page where that content shows though.

Modules like the horizontal slider would index because it contains actual text on the page.

Thanks for your response - so the contents of the horizontal slider gets indexed by google.

When I was referring to the live search module - it was because the results of its searches DONT show things in modules - only in articles.

What about the horizontal accordion?
the custom html modules?

fully indexed?

thanks!

Hello,

"What about the horizontal accordion?
the custom html modules?"

Those output actual text on the page and that is what google will index. There is nothing in these modules that would prohibit any of it from being indexed.
