Hi there,

I am new and I like DuoPlate and Touch of Soul... both a bit older.  I see Joomla made their 1.6 move and realize it will probably be some time before either of these templates (or something comparable) will be upgraded.  Am I better off not using 1.6 right now at the beginning since there is only 1 template available?

Or am I better off starting the site using the 1.6 code/layout so I avoid grief later?

I should probably throw in that I also plan on using a PHPbb forum and a bridge.

Personally I wouldn't start building on 1.6 yet (bridges and other components wont be ready for a bit) but if you want to build on 1.5 and upgrade I'd recommend starting with 1.6 then as there is no gaurantee there will be an easy way to upgrade from 1.5 to 1.6.  Currently there is a migrator component out but it doesn't work perfectly and a lot doesn't get converted correctly.
