I thought that these templates, as most sites support K2. The only place I ccan find any mention of K2 support is on the eshopper site with the mobile version. It has several menus dedicated to K2, but none of the links work. ex. estore.etoygurus.com  "on mobile phone"

So if you guys do not offer K2 support, then why is it halfway implemented? Will it be implemented? And last, is it simple to implement into your templates?

I am also interested in implementing, jomsocial, or community.

Suggestions? advice?

thanks,

Zac.

Hello,

K2 has been stylized for our last 2 templates. Any links associated to K2 would be not be associated to the template but rather the component itself, template merely stylize the component and do not effect functionality. If you have any specific support questions regarding styling of K2 please post them in template's forum boards and someone can assist you from there.

Jomsocial is definitely the most well known community component available and I would recommend this for any type of community site.

Thanks for clarifying some of the K2 stuff.

My goal is to setup the site so that visitors can register or login with their preferred social site credentials "facebook, twitter, google, etc" and both comment on articles, post a  news article or submit their very own article.

Id like some open source offerings to do this. I have heard some good things about jomsocial, but it is fee based. Community is free for the most part.

Will there be any compatibility issues with this template and the extension/addon Community for joomla?
Any suggestions? addons of interest?

*Also  I tried creating an account with the Register link with the comaxium template at etoygurus.com, every time I go to register, it times out and goes to a blank screen. This a known bug? or do i need to reinstall the template?

No suggestions or input on Community?

Hmm, seems this post is too old to be noticed now.

Hello,

I am sorry your post was overlooked. The features you mentioned above are not functions of Joomla itself but many can be handled by third party components. I would suggest looking through extensions.joomla.org for ones that fit your needs. Jomsocial would be a good one to start with, since it sounds like you're doing a community site. Our templates are designed to work with any Joomla compatible extension, so anything you find there should be fine.

So the register button really serves no function until I find an extension to attach to it? I dont see why anyone would want to register unless it allowed them some sort of control or access.

Hello,

If your site has no access controls or use limitations and it is all open to the public then there is no need for the registration unless you wanted to collect user data.
