Joomla 1.7 is out, and they say we should upgrade because after august 2011 joomla 1.6 will not have any updates. Will the 1.6 templates work on 1.7?
is there any known possible issues?
Just wondering before I start updating/ upgrading my websites.
Thanks

Hello,

1.7 is just bug updates and simple core features added, no major core changes. Anything that works in 1.6 is supposed to work in 1.7.

Yeah, I'm wondering what's taking so long for the J1.6 updates to the templates and siteshapers. I thought were were just waiting on the Jupagrade release.

Are you going to change the "J1.6" to "J1.7"

Hello gmedia,

The biggest issue is that JUpgrade still has a lot of bugs, particularly with transferring menu items and module data. We've been working to correct many of these issues.
