I am definitely unimpressed with shape5! I especially liked the looks of the University Theme, so I installed it to my wp site. This theme was not scaled properly, and could not be changed via css. Therefore, the product that was shown in the demo on this site was false and misleading. When actually installed, the theme looked nothing like what it was shown to look like. I was hoodwinked into buying a membership. Apparently, the demos are just facades and not at all what the theme actually is. When I contacted customer support, I was told this that and the other, but was never actually helped. They have the attitude that their cutomers are automatically wrong. This is a horrible stance to take in customer service. They seem to be skating around the issue, as if they have something to cover up.I would like my money refunded...although I doubt they have enough decency to do this. This is extremely unethical. They apparently don't give a rip about their reputation as an online business. I will never do business with shape5 again, and hope that anyone who reads this BEFORE they buy a membership will not do business with them either!

What seems to be the problem?  You have not posted any support requests, so saying that you have not been given any support is unfair and untrue.  Your post-count shows that this is the first time you have ever posted to our forum.

The older releases must have the settings reset in the Theme Options section of the admin in order to begin looking like the demo, and if you really want it to look like the demo, you need to install Wordpress using the Site Shaper instead of the normal WP installer.  Only then will everything look exactly like the demo.

I will be glad to provide any support you need, but I can only do that if I am told what problem(s) you are having.

No, this is not the first time I have posted to the forum. And I also emailed back and forth with a shape5 rep and was not given much help. The problem is that the themes I have downloaded and installed, particularly the University Theme, were not scaled/formatted correctly and when they were activated, very few of the graphics appeared on the site. when I went online to view the tutorials, the tutorials "had been removed". Wow, that's convenient! I emailed shape5 and posted on the forum under university theme, but didn't get any conclusive help. So now you might understand why I'm so unimpressed with shape5.

Please provide a link to the post you say you left on the forum under University, because I can't find it, and according to your post count, the only place you've ever posted is in this thread.

As for scale and formatting, as I said already, you have to save or reset the settings in the Theme Options area in WP Admin (Under "Appearance") before things will reset to the right arrangement.

Shape 5 support is not provided through e-mail, it is provided on the forum.  I am the Wordpress Club manager, programmer, and support person.  If you need support for the Wordpress Club, it can only be requested on the forum because I do not receive any e-mails sent to the general contact address.

As to the tutorials, which ones are you referring to?  The only "tutorial" we currently have for Wordpress is the video tutorial for Site Shapers which has recently been repaired and re-uploaded.  All other "how-to" information is readily available on every single Wordpress demo or on the forum.

As you can see, I monitor the forum quite closely (I am notified by e-mail every time a post is made in a Wordpress section), so if you had actually asked for support as you claim, I would have already helped you.

I will still be glad to provide whatever support you need, but I cannot do that if the support request is not posted on the forum; as stated in the terms of use, "Emails requesting support will not be answered".

I'm having a similar issue with the purchased Elegance theme for Wordpress. I installed it and spent hours trying to configure it and all of a sudden, half my work disappeared. When I tried to restore a most recent version from my backup, the entire site went haywire and there are configuration issues with the theme b/c it's not optimized for Wordpress.

I can't call anyone at Shape 5 for more info since they are not release any numbers it seems.  And there is no Contact us page either.

Horrible, horrible experience.  I would like to know how I can go about getting a refund immediately.

We have a contact page, 2 links to it both near the footer area of the site.  Our Wordpress themes can't and won't remove your data.  Looking at your posts it appears Tristan is working with you to help you get this resolved.  I can assure you this will be resolved shortly and you'll be up and running.
