Hi,

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. I was wondering if Shape 5 has any tutorials on how to use Vertex as a framework to create my own template.

Thanks,
Corey

Hello,

I'm sorry not at this time. We do have that on the list of things to do for the future though. I would suggest download the free template and examine the files within the root vertex folder. Most of those files are pretty self explanatory on what they do based on their naming structures.

Well, my problem is that normally when you are editing the .xml file for the options in the backend of a template for the field you can usually put type="media" and it will have a button next to the text field that will open up a popup of the joomla media manager and allows them to upload or select an image that has already been uploaded and it will but the url to the image in the text field automatically but with vertex if I put type="media" it just shows up as a regular text field.

Hello,

There is a new version of vertex coming out very soon that will allow for this. Vertex by default has to append xml parameters to it's backend. The new version will allow for all field types.

Hello,

Yes, it will be a simple zipped patch file. More info will be out in about 2 weeks or so on this.
