I need some help as I set up my construction template using the site shaper method on a staging folder for my live website.  As I created a new DB and set up the site shaper my plan was simply to overwrite the files in my root when complete with the new website.

The staging folder was called /homes2

After completion I moved everything over but for some reason I can not login the normal pathway to my backend:

http://www.thehomeswithheart.com/administrator

When I do this I get the login screen but when I put in my user/pass it goes blank?  It does however still work for me to access:

http://www.thehomeswithheart.com/homes2/administrator

And any changes I make there are showing up on the live site?  Any ideas what I have done wrong here?

Thank you
Mason

Have you checked your configuration.php file to see if things are pointing to the correct directory?

Jonah - I have checked config.php doesn't seem to be the issue, the error I am now seeing is:

the exact error message you get is "PHP Fatal error:  Call to a member function login() on a non-object in /home/thehomes/thehomeswithheart.com/administrator/components/com_login/admin.login.php on line 64, referer: https://www.thehomeswithheart.com/administrator/
"

I have recopied in that folder to make sure it is up to date but still same issue?

Hmm I am not sure, try searching on joomla.org forum for this and if you can't find any topics post a new one and seek help for this over there as its a Joomla related issue they would better be able to help you.
