Products always display through Home Page?

Im pretty new to joomla and VM, This may be a dumb question...

But My Products only will display as though thier on the "home" page... So anything I display on my home page will carry over onto my products area...?

I have only a few products in thier respective Categories on VM, then I have my Product category module listing the categories... What more needs to be done in order to follow the category link to a "new" product area without the homepage garble?
