Please note - Site shapers are built with the most current version of Joomla at the time of creation. Joomla version 1.7 and higher allows you to upgrade after installation to the newest version by the touch of a button from Extensions/Extensions Manager/Update/Find Updates (button). This means that you can upgrade any 1.7 to 2.5 with simply a few clicks after installation, to ensure you are the newest version.

Please note that when a particular template is created it is built on the most current version of Joomla available at that time. As Joomla releases new versions of their CMS they will occassionally add new features. Almost all new features will work with our templates with no issues at all, however some features that are effected by template overrides may not. It is not feasbible, nor it is possible for us to update all of our templates with these new features as Joomla releases a new version every six months. This does not mean that our templates will not work with new versions of Joomla, nor does it make them incompatible, it simply means that some new features may be abscent since they were not available at template creation.

We do not expect a lot of these issues, in fact to date there is only one known feature that meets the criteria mentioned above. Our goal is always to provide the best product and to make sure that our templates work with the newest features of Joomla. As new features are added to Joomla they will also be added to our templates that are created from that point forward. Below you will find a list of abscent features and a provided work around.

Editing Layout
This feature adds several new parameters to the edit screen of an article. These features allow the user to insert links, and pictures before the article is called. This feature was added in 2.5, and all templates prior to January 2012 will not receive this feature.

Editing Layout - Work Around
The work around is very simple. The features that were added are basic WYSIWYG editor functions. Any editor will give you the option to insert links and images into the article itself, not only at the top of the article, but anywhere. This is all done through the editor's easy to use graphical interface. Be sure to leave this feature disabled in the article global options.
