one of the actual links http://www.gaobagua.net/lobby/index.php/aaron-roberts

i've tried many different versions of
:
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" width="600" height="300"><param name="width" value="600" /><param name="height" value="300" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="flashvars" value="playlistURL=http://www.gaobagua.net/lobby/images/stories/video/homework/fourthcohort/aaronroberts/playlist.xml" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="src" value="/lobby/classrooms/fourthcohort/videoPlayerLight.swf" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="600" height="300" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="true" flashvars="playlistURL=http://www.gaobagua.net/lobby/images/stories/video/homework/fourthcohort/aaronroberts/playlist.xml" quality="high" src="classrooms/fourthcohort/videoPlayerLight.swf"></embed></object>

and playlist.xml
:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<playList>
<item>
<ratio>4:3</ratio>
<name>Lesson 1.123</name>
<description>Standing Postures and Background</description>
<movie>http://www.gaobagua.net/lobby/images/stories/video/lessons/lesson1/lesson_1_1_2_3.flv</movie>
<icon>http://www.gaobagua.net/img/video_icon.png</icon>

</playList>

for the custom html module...they worked in the first through third cohort homework menu's...then some in the second cohort started not working...and the fourth cohort is waiting to be made because it's having the same problems.  Wondering what the issue is here...i've changed the links around...checked permissions on the FTP.  Would like some input if you could to help with what is wrong so i can finish putting the fourth cohort together.

:D

Thanks for the time...

Hello,

I'm not sure what you mean, I checked out the site and see one media player at the above URL but no menu for links to other pages, etc.  Also the player was only really designed to be a standalone on a site not be used several times if you are trying to do this.  We do have a media player copy that will allow you to use the first version and this in the white theme only which will get you two media players running on one site.

I have several individual copies all with their own playlists running...one for each classroom, which are all working properly, and also the whole first cohort homework players...each one has an independent copy of the player in their homework folder.  I can't set up the rest of fourth cohort until I can figure out why it's not working.

There is a NOIX Access Control List in the components in the backend if you get permission issues.  It's a complicated but pretty self explanitory system of permissions.

  The players worked great as individual stand alone playlist players...as you can see.  I've messed with the code at every level that i could...referencing other video players, different playlists...redoing the flash video with the video input script inside joomla...i can not get past the white box.  I feel like i'm missing something incredibly simple...*shrugs*

http://www.gaobagua.net/lobby/index.php/second-cohort
http://www.gaobagua.net/lobby/index.php/third-cohort

these are all the classroom video players, as well as the homework menus that all reference different players and run beautifully...i just can't get fourth cohort to actually work yet.

What do you mean you can't get past the white box?

As for the 4th player I went to:
http://www.gaobagua.net/lobby/index.php/fourth-cohort

And after a bit it started working for me

It is the first to homework entries in the fourth cohort classroom.

Homework Menu: Aaron Roberts and Bret Bumgarner.

When each of the pages load, i only get a white box instead of the player, like previous cohort homework menus.

Modules

*Homework - Aaron Roberts
*Homework - Bret Bumgarner

Sorry i wasn't more specific earlier...s'been crazy here with the superbowl and mardi gras...:D

I'm not seeing a homework menu item, can you just send me a direct URL?

i'm going to investigate why you can't see the homework menu...

I took a look at these URLs and I do see a menu in the top right position now.  As for the videos not showing, the only thing I suggest is try switching between relative and full URL paths in your playlist.xml file, also make sure the playlist.xml is actually be called.  Right now the issue lies somewhere in regards to the playlist.xml file as the SWF files are being called and loading on page.
