: Google ad to replace NFL banner
: lecartable February 10, 2010, 03:59:09 PM
Hi,

I would like to remove NFL banner and replace it with a script from Google Ad. I was able to do it in top section where we see 468x60 banner but it doesn't work where is NFL banner (above_body_3).

Thanks for helping!

Hello, you would need a google module from extensions.joomla.org to do this. The position itself will show any module that is published to it.

Thank you very much. It works very fine though I will have to get a smaller one as width of the Google adsense script I get is 728px which is too large for the above_body_3.

Thanks again!

Can you post a url of where it is published so I can see how the code is laid out.

As I told you on other post, there is nothing published yet. What I do now is tyring to well understand joomla and sportopolis template. I am expecting to publish it in two weeks from now.

Hello, I am sorry but I will need to be able to see the code live in order to understand how the code is laid out and what is causing the problem.

Hi,
Actually, the problem should be easy to understand. NFL banner is 654px width while the Google Ad I want to add there is 728px. That's surely the reason why it partly goes over the Right section.

I change my mind and decide to get a Google Ad this size 120x600 that I put in to the Left section.

Is there a way to put a banner at the top of Frontpage section?

Thank you

Hello, you wouldn't be able to add a custom position above the left without some custom programming, these are the available positions:
