: need help with siteshaper : ellare February 19, 2010, 12:55:00 PM i've followed tutorial - but get stuck at this step
+ Next, navigate to the url where you extracted the site shaper via your web browser. when i go to URL -- lisagirard.com it does not allow me to complete next steps. when i remove install.php and installation directory, and go back to site - get error that can't find SQL database. please help - am i missing something here? Also, be sure you're not deleting this before the installation is complete. If it says it cannot find the database then there is either a problem with your server or the information submitted was not correct.

uninstall everything but compressed file create new mySQL database and user go to url - shift F5 to reload page re-extract compressed file go back to URL, follow steps on last step - BEFORE hittine "site" button or "admin" button, THEN GO DELETE INSTALLATION DIRECTORY, then come back and hit "site" or "admin" button i found that i had to do it that order, i couldnt remove install and then just type in URL, i had to hit the site button on the install process. |
