: Error when installing Extensions : kenedwards March 27, 2010, 08:26:51 AM I am new to Joomla and TouchOfSoul. I am using the auto install at GoDaddy.
I have the install of Joomla ok, and the TouchOfSoul theam ok, but when I use the extension manager to install the TouchOfSoul extensions I get this error "Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package." Help! Go to help/system info/directory permissions, all folders must be writable. If any are not you will need to contact your host to have this resolved.

I was having the same problem and in my case I was trying to install the file "Shape5_Touch_of_Soul_extensions.zip" and didn't realize that I first needed to extract that file. It includes 5 separate zip files (one for each module) and each needs to be installed separately. I guess that's probably obvious to most folks but it didn't occur to me at first. Hope that helps someone.
