I just downloaded and installed the site shaper version of the basics template.  On the image slide display, the thumbnail buttons only appeared as it slid through each image.  I found that the following line was missing from style.css at line 15
:
background: url("button.png") no-repeat scroll center top transparent;
Now it works like the demo.

Another question: If I wanted real thumbnails here, like the demo here: http://shape5.com/demo/bridgeofhope/ (http://shape5.com/demo/bridgeofhope/) how do I do that?

Hello, thank you for bringing this to our attention. To get the other version  you would need to install the image slide version from club extensions downloads, this is the version that appears on Bridge of Hope.
