I am going to use the sitebuilder option but I also don't want to lose my registered users. I usually set up a subdomain to put the new database on and when it's finished I would just copy the database.
There has to be a way to make a smoother transition. What would you guys suggest? : Re: Quick question? : mikek April 25, 2010, 10:48:05 AM Hello, if you use a site shaper this is a complete install of Joomla with our demo data in it. I would recommend making a copy of your site in put in a sub folder, then install the new template there. Change around your content and modules however needed. Then install the template on your live domain and copy over the database to over-write your existing one.
