: Shopper Frenzy template behaviour in Opera (checked against 10.53)
: lemme May 07, 2010, 06:35:23 AM
Hi there!

While checking Shopper Frenzy demo site in various browsers and being almost ready (it rocks, great work) to sign for paid membership, i've noticed a glitch in page footer rendering (namely an "s5_bot_shadow" element) in Opera browser. On "cold" (re)load (by clicking on top menu item) "s5_bot_shadow" displayed in incorrect position. But hovering over top menu or S5 Accordion Menu makes Opera to redraw a page, fixing s5_bot_shadow position. See attachements for visual explanation.

I want to ask a question before checking out: do i have to contact a support to get this glitch fixed or template going to be fixed by developers and available for download in members area?

Hello, I didn't see these problems on my version of Opera. Have you maybe checked this on a second machine? Opera unfortunately, does not meet a lot of W3C standards and different version consistently do not display css correctly. Unfortuntely, Opera has become an "almost working" browser for most developers and most treat web development this way when it comes to this browser because it ignore correct css styling. All that to say :) I would say first check it on a second machine.

Hi again. Well, dunno if this fix is quick and dirty (i'm not a css pro at all), but i think it's caused by min-height directive. changing it to height should fix things up.

As of checking on another machine - got same result with opera under windows (xpsp3-vista-7pro) and linux builds, so it's not machine-specific.

Hello, I was able to reproduce the problem but what is odd is the problem will show when the page loads, then if I leave the browser and come back to it about 10 seconds later then the page appears correctly. This is a browser issue and cannot be controlled by the template.

I did change the min-height to just height on our demo as well, if you can take a look at that and see if it showing correctly for you now.
