I use the JCE Content Editor.

The TOS template uses a background image which makes it really hard to see the content in the JCE Editor. So I checked their site and they suggested copying the TOS template.css, renaming it, taking out the background image from the CSS and then pointing the editor to that file to use for its CSS rendering.

I was about to do that and noticed an editor.css in the TOS css directory.

What is this file used for?

Thanks

Hello,

The editor.css contains all the css for typography, the background css should not be called from this file. This is a post from another user with a similar question:

Quick and easy fix:  Change your JCE by going into Configuration:Formatting:Editor Content Class and changing the value to High Contrast.

High Contrast was fast and easy to do - and did what I wanted it to do (switch off background image) with one menu option - THANKS.

Is this still the same solution in j1.6 & 1.7?

I can't find the sections of the site you are referring to in your solution.

Thanks again.

Hello,

Yes, it's the same for 1.7. The settings should be in the backend of the editor in the plugin manager.

In the plugin manager there are no settings for JCE.

In the JCE Administration >> Global Configuration there are five formatting and display options:

Container Element
Newslines
Editor Style Reset
Editor Styles
Custom CSS Files

I do not see an option for contrast.

Thanks again Mike!
