: IE8 Zoom breaks layout : rfarrell July 19, 2010, 10:46:34 PM Hi Guys,
As you are probably aware from my previous posts, Eden Rock is one of my all time favourite templates. But there is a real problem with Internet Explorer 8 (spit). If you choose to zoom below 100% the sites column layout breaks and columns appear underneath each other. I think the problem is this. The div id s5_middle is given a style="width: 730px" where 730 appears to be a calculated width after allowing for left and right columns in the case of www.erpoz.com, If the page is zoomed down, the total width of the three columns no longer fits in the page. : Re: IE8 Zoom breaks layout : mikek July 20, 2010, 08:00:31 AM Hello,
There is no way around this. The template itself cannot control browser functionality. The browser is not refreshing the template after resize and the divs must be set to a specific width. : Re: IE8 Zoom breaks layout : rfarrell July 20, 2010, 04:56:54 PM Bummer. More recent Shape5 templates don't seem to have this problem
