: Aweber Script Problem : jaywill78 July 26, 2010, 06:17:32 PM Hi!
I'm trying to install an AWeber lytebox subscription form and seem to having some issues with the City Portal template: When I drop the HTML code (using the edit code function) in the article for my frontpage and press apply or save, the script does not remain. When I open the article HTML code, the script is gone. Any ideas why this might be happening? I've used it with other Shape 5 templates with no problem. Here's the site I'm trying to install the AWeber opt-in form on: http://standequipped.com/ (http://standequipped.com/) I'm using JCE 1.5.6 editor since my TinyMCE 2.0 (pre-installed from your .zip file) was not working properly. Any ideas? Thanks! Jason : Re: Aweber Script Problem : jonahh July 27, 2010, 11:38:05 AM Hello,
You need to disable your editor in the global configuration area of your site. The editors strip out script tags. Or I think if you head over to your Joomla plugins area and open up the editor plugin you might be able to disable the remove script function. : Re: Aweber Script Problem : jaywill78 July 27, 2010, 12:56:13 PM Thanks Jonah,
I tried reinstalling the Tiny MCE 2.0 (I couldn't find any option to disable the remove script function) editor from the template .zip file and am still experiencing the same problem. I also tried disabling my editor but I wasn't able to successfully save the article after I installed the code. Any other compatibility issues that come to your mind or other workarounds? Thanks, Jason : Re: Aweber Script Problem : jonahh July 28, 2010, 11:00:27 AM If you disable the editor you will be able to save whatever you desire in an article, its still stripping out the script tags?
: Re: Aweber Script Problem : jaywill78 July 28, 2010, 12:15:29 PM Even if I select "No Editor" in my global config settings, paste the code, and save, it still gets deleted! I was able to use an 'inline' form throughout my site, but am experiencing this issue with a 'hover' or 'lytebox' form.
The only way I can get these last two options to work is if I put the code into my index.php file, but then it appears on every page, not just select! If I reinstall the template, will I lose all my customizations (logo, spacial adjustments, etc,)? Not sure what to do! : Re: Aweber Script Problem : jonahh July 30, 2010, 10:46:10 AM Hello,
I took a look and I'm not sure whats going on. When you disable the WYSIWYG editor its not supposed to strip out anything. I would try posting on joomla.org or even upgrading your joomla version as you are currently running an older version. : Re: Aweber Script Problem : jaywill78 July 30, 2010, 12:06:07 PM Thanks Jonah,
How'd you get the Tiny MCE to work again? Much appreciated. I found a work around by putting the script in a custom HTML module and it seems to be working fine. I will look into upgrading! Thanks, Jason : Re: Aweber Script Problem : jonahh August 02, 2010, 04:45:53 PM You can select your editor under "site > global configuration"
