: Template Display Problem : stevewest June 03, 2008, 06:59:18 PM Joomla 1.5.3
Browser: Tested in IE 7 & FF 2.x Hi, Not sure what I'm doing wrong but installed the template and imported the sample db for 1.5 and all I see is the following attached screensot. Why doesn't the template show up as the online demo? I wish the shape5 folks offered an entire download of the demo like some other joomla template providers. It makes it so much easier to get rolling w/ a new template. Hope someone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. thx, SW : Re: Template Display Problem : mikek June 03, 2008, 07:23:25 PM Hi, can you please post a url?
There is an sql dump of the demo located in the download section. : Re: Template Display Problem : stevewest June 04, 2008, 02:22:54 AM Hi Mike,
The screenshot I provided of the site is using the sql dump. Here is the URL: <REMOVED> thx, SW : Re: Template Display Problem : mikek June 04, 2008, 05:50:43 AM Your server is not pulling the full css strings:
<link href="/templates/edenrock/css/template_css.css" It should read: <link href="http://icapitalfinancial.bezagroup.com/templates/edenrock/css/template_css.css" You can try manually hard-coding the url into each css string and js file in the index.php file. What type of server is this running on? : Re: Template Display Problem : stevewest June 04, 2008, 07:46:31 AM Hi Mike,
The server is a Linux Redhat Enterprise 5.x w/ PHP 5.2.x and MySQL 5.x. I also checked the php error and I'm seeing the following php errors: [04-Jun-2008 09:07:43] PHP Warning: include(templates/edenrock/footer.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/sites/www/icapitalfinancial.bezagroup.com/templates/Shape5_Eden_Rock_15/index.php on line 413 [04-Jun-2008 09:07:43] PHP Warning: include(): Failed opening 'templates/edenrock/footer.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/libexec/php5ext/php/') in /var/sites/www/icapitalfinancial.bezagroup.com/templates/Shape5_Eden_Rock_15/index.php on line 413 SW : Re: Template Display Problem : mikek June 04, 2008, 07:53:09 AM Your server is having a problem creating the correct urls. It can't find the file because it is exporting:
include(templates/edenrock/footer.php) when it should be: include(http://icapitalfinancial.bezagroup.com/templates/edenrock/footer.php) You would need to hard-code this string in as well. : Re: Template Display Problem : stevewest June 04, 2008, 08:04:38 AM Hi Mike,
I also found that the zip template file extracts to "Shape5_Eden_Rock_15" directory name but the index.php references "edenrock" so this issue also makes it impossible for joomla to find the correct css/js files necessary. I've changed the name of the directory in /templates/Shape5_Eden_Rock_15 to /templates/edenrock. The template now appears correctly... thx, SW |
