: Upgrade price is goofy.

Hello, I just bought a standard 1yr membership and I am happy with what I see. I would like to upgrade to a Developer license, but the pricing is questionable. The difference between a standard membership and a developer license is $155 if I hadn't purchased anything yet, and the upgrade my account page states 15% off upgrades, so the upgrade cost should actually be $121.22 ($224.99 - 15% - $69.99) if that is correct. However, when I go to upgrade it is only offering 15% off $224 which works out to $190.40. $190.40 plus the $69.99 I paid just minutes ago is $260.39, more than a developer license would have been right off the bat.

Why am I being penalized for taking the product for a paid test drive first? I could have illegally downloaded the templates, but instead I did the right thing and paid up.

I would still like to purchase the developer license, but not at a cost that is greater than the listed retail price. I would enjoy the advertised 15% off upgrade price of my already paid $69.99 + $121.22, and I would even pay the full retail price of another $155 on top of the already paid $69.99.

Can you issue a coupon code or something to fix this for me so I can purchase the developer license at the 15% off or at least at regular retail?

Thanks.

Hello,

We handle upgrades like this manually, mostly because we can only discount the amount of the membership that is left from the original membership. For example if you had used 6 months of your $69.99 membership would can only discount the upgrade by half of the original price. Most upgrades take place months after the original signup so the 15% tends to be about the average amount left and often more of a discount. Since your membership was just purchased I have private messaged you a coupon code for the full $69.99 that you can use towards your upgrade.
