How to configure Registration and Login modules to use an external MS SQL database instead of Joomla MySQL database?
Tasks:
  • Users will be registered into an external MS SQL database when they register from the website's Register module.
  • Account verification and approval will be sent to the user by the company IT Manager.
  • When the Login button at the website is selected, it should authenticate the user against the MS SQL Database, and if it is valied then the user is automatically redirected to an external application URL.
  • Users can retreive username / passwords from the website link
Could you please help me to achieve this tasks?

Hello,

This would require a lot of custom coding as the modules run off of the Joomla framework.
