: Joomla 1.6 version released
: jonahh January 19, 2011, 10:05:29 PM
Hey guys,

We are happy to announce our first converted 1.6 template.  There will be a site shaper released in the near future too but for now you can use and install the Photofolio 1.6 version of the template available in the downloads area.

Cheers!

If I use the 1.5 sql dump, will it work, or has 1.6 changed the way the db works?  I can only assume yes, as both (a) you haven't done the siteshaper yet, and (b) a change in the categories etc., would indicate this change.

When is the upgrade for the image slider v3 joomla 1.6?  I can understand the 3rd parties not being upgraded yet, but if you're going to claim it's a 1.6 template surely your extensions should be ready to go?

No the 1.5 dump will not work, the article section in 1.6 has changed.

The template is 1.6 but the site shaper is not yet which includes the image fader module.

Hello,

The template is 1.6 ready but we don't have a site shaper ready for 1.6 or database dump.

Zoppagency, with the exception of the imageslider extension which we're still waiting for the 1.6 conversion (hint hint).  You can still use the template.  In order to work out exactly how they have achieved the layout, what I did was install a Joomla! 1.6 version AND a Joomla! 1.5 siteshaper version on my localhost.

This allowed me to see which position everything was in and set it up correctly in preparation for the image slider extension to be placed in afterwards.

With regards to tutorials etc., if you go to the demo of Photofolio on this site the links on the demo page provide a lot of useful tutorial type advice.  They do with every template on the site.  I hope this helps :)

What are the modules used in Photofolio.

I'm determined to do a site with Joomla 1.6. I will install everything by hand.

I just need to know what modules to install, even if they are not all ready (1.6) yet.

Please help :)

Chris

Actually they are all listed on the demo under "features > shape 5 extensions".  The s5 image fader is the only one pending 1.6 conversion.

Any eta on the site shaper for this template?

Site shapers will not be available until all of our templates have been converted and some issues with the JUpgrade component are addressed or another suitable upgrade component becomes available.

I just bought a membership so we could have the Photofolia template exactly as shown too! How are normal people supposed to install this to look like what you advertise???

I need an answer asap please...

You can use the 1.5 site shaper but unfortunatly we won't start releasing site shapers for 1.6 until the below is 100% in all items.

I'm a bit down. I purchased a membership for this template and no one tell me there is not a shaper for it... My english is enough to understand tutorial, but I don't know where ir a real tutorial about how to use all that staff, more clear than jump one post to another and one module tutorial  to another. I'm used to joomla but not doing all at my own in so much complicated templates,

I downloaded 1.6 and 1.5. Hope it counts like only one template.

You have a date for the shaper?

Once the above Jupgrade plugin (seen here
http://www.matware.com.ar/joomla/jupgrade.html) is updated to be 100% in all areas of import we will then release the site shaper.

Hi, I just downloaded 1.6 version and went through the installation but the template does not appear to be available to select despite the fact that I received the message that the installation was successful (I am working on Mac system with the newest update to Joomla (1.6.1))

Can you let me know how can I fix this problem. Thanks. Mark

P.S. Do you have any estimates when the site shaper version will be released?

Can you PM me Joomla login details so I can take a look at this issue?

I'm using Joomla 1.6, and I just purchased this template and only to find out that Tienda and Jcomments is not yet compatible with 1.6, ugh (I should have done some research first)  so my question is what to do now? is there any alternative for this two extension?

I also want to know how can you disable the side bar (like the J1.6 Conversion status on your page)?
is it possible to remove the credits to shape5 (design by shape5?)

: Re: Joomla 1.6 version released

I don't know of any other component that will get you the functionality of Tienda with Joomla 1.6 or actually with Joomla 1.5

: Re: Joomla 1.6 version released
: delic8tes April 18, 2011, 12:49:35 PM
is there a way to disable right click on the image fader and for the photoblog? I know people can just print screen or disable javascript to obtain your photos but I still want to add this feature.

never mind about my question above, now I want to know how can I get a refund? I will just subscribed again once the entire photofolio template including its mods, plugins and component are fully compatible with 1.6

I'm also wondering about Tienda. How is this template supposed to work on J1.6 if Tienda will not install? Is there any kind of plan, or do I simply not have any choice but to use J1.5?

Currently only can use with J1.5.   It all depends on the developer of Tienda if they decide to release a J1.6 version.
