: Bottom Menu : sportodds February 15, 2011, 01:25:08 PM Me again.. I am having a hell of a time with the bottom menu. I used the site shaper so it is already in the admin but the problem is, it shows # Published as 7, however.. I don't see anything in the bottom menu items to edit. I have added a new one which works but now I can not see that link or any of the dummy ones either for that matter to edit in the admin! Thanks for any assistance... ???
: Re: Bottom Menu : mikek February 15, 2011, 02:50:11 PM Hello,
If the links aren't showing in the backend try renaming the menu and it's alias under the menu manager. Joomla has a bug where renaming it sometimes will fix this. : Re: Bottom Menu : sportodds February 15, 2011, 03:27:25 PM ;D ;D ;D ;D
Presto... many thanks, now I can edit the links... one problem though... if I want to make the home page link to obviously the home page.. how is that done in the menu type? I would assume it is under the internal link settings which I can set to a Front Page Blog Layout... but I don't want to make a new one.. I want to use the default home page... thanks again... : Re: Bottom Menu : mikek February 15, 2011, 03:51:46 PM Hello,
The easiest way is to create an 'alias' link and then point it to the home link on your main menu. An 'alias' link is a way to link to another menu's link, and since you already have a home link setup on your main menu just link there, it's much easier for setting up modules so you don't have to publish them to both links. : Re: Bottom Menu : sportodds February 15, 2011, 04:28:39 PM ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Solved once again... thank you is there a built in contact page? I can't seem to find it... |
