Shape 5

The Intrigue template has the "Valid XHTML and CSS" text and links in the footer but I get the following two validation errors on my site:

  • Property text-shadow doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1
  • there is no attribute "border"

The only change I made to the template was to remove your "Designed by Shape5" text because I didn't like the way it ran into my copyright text. I tried to add a P tag but it wouldn't validate for some reason so I just removed the line. I think it's a great looking template and I'd like to put the credit line back in there but not if I can't get it to validate while making it look good.

Here's my site if you want to have a look: http://www.AustinTechnicalWriter.com/ (http://www.AustinTechnicalWriter.com/).

I would appreciate any ideas.

Hello,

The template validates with level 3 css, you are validating with level 2.1 is fairly old now. You can see from here:

Thanks Mike.

I didn't make any changes to the validation settings. I just installed the template. Is the validation a setting in the template itself or is that a setting in Joomla?

It's a setting on the actual validator. On their site there is an option to change to level 3 validation.
